Work/Work
Work
Shared tasks — the long-horizon spine for effort that outlives a single chat.
Work
Work is how persistent, shareable effort lives in Onnie. Chat stays private and live; a Task is the workspace-visible spine — goal, current focus, plan, digests, deliverables, and activity — that many humans and agents can share.

How to use it
- Scan the browser — buckets: Needs you · Active · Scheduled & waiting · Recently done. Filter All or Me.
- Open a task — edit focus and goal, run the agent Live (your bound chat) or Ghost (background / autonomous).
- Follow digests and deliverables — curated progress and linked pages / tables / canvases / images, not the full chat transcript.
- Resolve blockers from Activity (and Needs you) when the agent waits on you.
- Start from a Blueprint when you want structured multi-step Work instead of a blank task.
Mental model
Chat
Where the agent runs
Private transcript. Bound to a task when work is tracked — chat keeps going (bind, not freeze).
Task
What the room shares
Goal, focus, plan steps, digests, deliverables, comments. The spine you re-enter days later.
Key distinctions
- Work is not a Kanban/Gantt dashboard. Multi-week planning lives on Calendar (Timeline).
- Lead user/agent are defaults and labels — not hard gates on who can help.
- Autonomous / scheduled runs use ghost chats (view from the task; not in your private Chats list).
